Your Path to Becoming an HVAC Technician

A comprehensive, 12-week program, Jack Ryan Academy combines classroom instruction, lab work, and field training to give you the essential skills you need to become an HVAC technician.

Classroom Learning

We’ll start in a classroom setting to help you learn the basics of HVAC and begin to develop your technical skills, from basic math to effective troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques.

You’ll also learn soft skills, such as effectively communicating with customers to describe the services needed to restore their comfort.

You’re working in their homes, so you need to ensure every homeowner you encounter trusts your recommendations and is completely satisfied with your services.

Hands-On Training 

You’ll be able to translate the concepts you learned in the classroom into practice in our state-of-the-art lab.

Here you’ll familiarize yourself with equipment like furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps. That way, when you’re servicing a customer’s HVAC system, you can quickly and effectively determine what caused malfunction or failure and recommend the right solution.

In-Field Training

You’ll ride along with a licensed HVAC technician to apply your skills to real-world situations. You’ll work directly with homeowners to address their heating or cooling concerns.
