OFFICIAL RULES – GENZ-RYAN FREE FURNACE GIVEAWAY NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

1. ELIGIBILITY

The GENZ-RYAN FREE FURNANCE giveaway is open to legal residents of the State of Minnesota (“Territory”) who are at least eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry.

Employees, officers, and directors (including immediate family members (spouse, parent, child and sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and members of the same household, whether or not related) of Genz-Ryan (“Sponsor”) and each of its respective affiliated companies, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and any and all other companies associated with the Contest are not eligible to participate or win a Prize. Void outside Territory and where prohibited or restricted by law, rule or regulation.

• • The home must be owner-occupied, a single-family home, and nonmobile (manufactured homes are not eligible).
  • The home must have a forced air furnace, no boilers.
  • The property must be located within a 60-mile radius of Genz-Ryan’s primary service area. 

2. SPONSOR

The Contest is sponsored by Genz-Ryan Heating and Plumbing Company Inc., located at 2200 Hwy 13 W. Burnsville, MN 55337, 952-767-1000.

3. AGREEMENT TO OFFICIAL RULES

Participation in the Contest constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding. Winning a Prize is contingent upon compliance with these Official Rules and fulfillment of all other requirements set forth herein.

4. PROMOTION PERIOD

The Genz-Ryan Free Furnace Giveaway (“Contest”) begins at 12:00 AM Central Time on March10th, 2025, and ends at 11:59 PM Central Time on April 15, 2025 (“Promotion Period”). Sponsor’s clock will be the official time keeper for the Contest.

5. HOW TO ENTER

• • No purchase is necessary to participate or win. A purchase will not improve one’s chance of winning. Void where prohibited. All federal, state and local taxes apply.

• • Automatic Entry: Schedule and complete a free quote for HVAC services with Sponsor during the Promotion Period to receive one (1) entry.

• • Alternative Entry (No Purchase Necessary): To enter without booking a free quote, call 952-767-1000 during the Promotion Period and request to be entered into the Contest.

• • Limit one (1) entry per person and per household for the duration of the Promotion Period, regardless of method of entry. Entries received from any person or household in excess of the stated limitation will be void. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.

6. PRIZE

One (1) prize (“Prize”) is available to be awarded. One (1) winner will receive the following Prize:

• • A free forced-air furnace, including standard installation.

The giveaway is limited to forced-air furnaces only; boilers and other heating systems are not eligible. THE APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE OF THE PRIZE IS UP TO $6,000, with the actual value depending on market conditions at time of fulfillment.

ODDS OF WINNING ARE AS FOLLOWS: ONE (1) PRIZE OUT OF 5000 NOTICES DISTRIBUTED.

All costs and expenses associated with Prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided —including, but not limited to, additional costs for upgrades, modifications, or nonstandard installation—are the sole responsibility of the winner. The furnace must be installed by Genz-Ryan; no DIY or third-party installations allowed. Each Winner is fully responsible for any and all applicable federal, state, and local taxes, including income and withholding taxes. Winners must submit a W-9 if requested by Sponsor. The Prize is non-transferable and non-assignable, with no cash redemptions or substitutions except at the sole and absolute discretion of Sponsor. If the winner received a quote for a furnace during the Promotion Period, a credit equal to the value of the Prize will be applied to their account within thirty (30) days of the winner announcement.

7. WINNER SELECTION & NOTIFICATION8

On or about April 15, 2025, Genz-Ryan will select a potential winner in a random drawing from all eligible entries received. The odds of being selected depend on the number of entries received. Sponsor will attempt to notify the potential winner via phone and/or email within five (5) business days of the drawing. If the potential winner cannot be contacted within seven (7) days of the first notification attempt, a disqualification will result, the Prize will be forfeited. At the Sponsor’s sole discretion, an alternate potential winner may be randomly selected from the remaining eligible entries.

8. GENERAL CONDITIONS

By entering, participants agree to comply with these Official Rules and all applicable laws.

Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, violates these Official Rules, or otherwise engages in conduct that disrupts or undermines the legitimate operation of the Contest. Any attempt by any person to damage the website or undermine the integrity of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civiI law, and, should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages (including attorney’s fees) and any other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Failure by the Sponsor to enforce any provision of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. The Released Parties are not responsible for lost, late, illegible, damaged, garbled, delayed, undelivered, inaccurate, misdirected, or incomplete entries.

9. RELEASE and LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY

By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents (“Released Parties”) from any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt and use of the Prize. Entrant further agrees that in any cause of action, the Released Parties’ liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in the Contest, and in no event shall the entrant be entitled to receive attorney’s fees. Entrants waive the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages.

10. DISPUTES

Except where prohibited, each entrant agrees that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Contest or any Prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in Minnesota. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, the rights and obligations of entrants, or the rights and obligations of Sponsor in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Minnesota.

11. PRIVACY

Information collected from entrants in connection with this Contest will be used in accordance with the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy.
