Jesus explained what he would do if the work is needed and he explained it in layman’s terms and not confusing jargon. Jesus was knowledgeable and professional. Juan was great. He came in and did the electrical tune up in a reasonable time. He explained what he found and what he would recommend that was needed, giving multiple options to choose from based on how much I wanted to have done. It was nice having those options and what he would recommend and why. Very respectful of property and made me feel at ease. I would recommend Juan for any electrical work needed.

Had Trent out for a plumbing job and he was great. He walked me through the problem, gave me the options and the pricing up front, and didn’t push anything I didn’t need. Work was clean and done right the first time. As a new homeowner still figuring out what’s where, I appreciated that he took the time to show me the shut off instead of just finishing and leaving. Genz-Ryan has a good one in Trent. I’d ask for him again.

I called Genz-Ryan for help replacing 10-year old smoke detectors that chirp (usually around 2:00 a.m.!!!) After having lived through a home fire years ago I want to always make sure my alarms are in perfect working order. I’m so glad they sent Joseph and Jake to do an inspection of my house. Not only are my smoke/carbon monoxide detectors now up to date, but I also learned about several other options that I could have repaired. I so appreciate the information they shared and the answers I got to all of my questions. Information, options, and no sales pitch. I was very impressd with the professionalism and knowledge of Mr. Andrew Swenson during his visit to do an in-depth check of my Furnace. At the same time he checked and worked on the A/C coils that needed cleaning and rust elimination on the evaporation pan, and scheduled a follow on visit to clean the dryer vent that really needs it.

He thoroughly inspected my water heater, explained the condition of the anode rod, and helped me understand the importance of replacing it to extend the life of the water heater.

My AC broke this past weekend and I wanted to get several bids to get a new HVAC system, as my furnace and AC were almost 29 years old. My experience with Mike L. was great: he was the technician that came out to diagnose the issue with my AC and helped walk through different options for replacement systems. Despite being a technician, he also helped me with the sales process and answered all of my many questions I had about installation and warranties with the new equipment.

As a side note, I saw several reviews mentioning how Genz-Ryan charges a lot or were the "pricey" option, but I got 3 quotes for replacement systems and all 3 were within ~$1000 of one another. I went with Genz mostly because they offered the most free add ons such as a wifi thermostat, a 2-year tune-up package, and a HVAC sensor.

Im looking forward to my new HVAC system! And thanks again to Mike for all his help!
